At this stage, K and I are still deciding where to go. It seemed easy at first when all we had Dave and Leanne's trip as a model www.gothereandback.com. But once we started to actually talk about where we might want to go, the list just kept growing. Do we go to Kilimanjaro or to Phuket? Corn Island or Ulaan Baatar?
I'd love to be able to say we'll go to all of those places, but realistically we probably will have about 4 months to do the circuit. So here are a few possible itineraries:
(Amercian Part- Pretty Firm and all by car)
DC-Austin-Phoenix-Grand Canyon-Zion-Bryce-Yosemite-SF-Redwoods-Pilot Rock- Seattle-LA (2-3weeks)
Auckland-Wellington-South Island (11 Days)
Tokyo-Hong Kong- Beijing-Ulaan Bataar-Kathmandu-Tibet (4-5weeks)
Johannesburg-Kilamanjaro-Victoria Falls-Some Safari Park (2 weeks)
Rio-San Paol0-Iguassu Falls-Buenos Aires -Santiago-Machu Pichu-Amazon-Fortaleza (4-5 weeks)
Seattle-Pilot Rock-Yellowstone-Badlands-Minneapolis-Chicago-NYC new home (10Days)
Seems like a good trip. Problems? No Central America, no Europe.
Okay, how about:
(Amercian Part- Pretty Firm and all by car)
DC-Austin-Phoenix-Grand Canyon-Zion-Bryce-Yosemite-SF-Redwoods-Pilot Rock- Seattle-LA (2-3weeks)
Tokyo-Hong Kong- Beijing-Ulaan Bataar-Kathmandu-Tibet (4-5weeks)
Greece-Budapest-Prague-Florence-Somewhere on the Mediterranean-Barcelona-Cordoba-Lisbon-Paris-London (6 weeks)
Rio-San Paol0-Iguassu Falls-Buenos Aires -Santiago-Machu Pichu-Amazon-Fortaleza (4-5 weeks)
Seattle-Pilot Rock-Yellowstone-Badlands-Minneapolis-Chicago-NYC new home (10Days)
Ok, but no New Zealand or Central America. So now you start to see the problem...
